14 – Nelson Head Inner Lighthouse

The first light at this location was shown from a lantern in a small timber tower structure that was built in 1872.

The replacement structure that operated from 1876, is an octagonal shaped room with an attached residence for the lighthouse keeper who tended the kerosene lamps.

The first light keeper was William Glover and with the final keeper was Jerry Jones.

Be sure to visit the Team Rooms and also the Museum inside.
