About this object"Pindimar" - fishing vessel under construction owned by Verdich brothers. Charles, the eldest, Norman who became known as "Blue", Neil became known as "Dick", Eric as Ă–scar", Ronald as "Poddy"and Maurice was referred to as "Samson" for his blundering strength.
The "Pindimar" was used for fishing outside from Port Stephens and was the only boat of her kind that worked from the north side of the port. The Pindimar was eventually sold and ran aground on Montague Island on her way to Lakes Entrance.
In 1974 Charlie was invited to make an oyster documentary for NSW Fisheries, focussed on the family involvement in the industry.
