About this object"Luctor" owned by John Padmos who arrived in Australia from Hollard in 1951. The "Luctor"was a steel life boat originally from Holland and fitted out for fishing and prawning. The boat was so named from the coat of arms from Zeeland in Holland "Luctor et Emergo" meaning - Struggle and emerge. The boat would start with a flow plug with a smouldering wick to fire it.
The second boat "Luctor 2"(not shown here) was a 4 cylinder Clay Diesel.
