About this object"Delstar" - commissioned by Ron McLean and built by Bill Ryan at Taree
This was Ron's first fishing trawler to be commissioned by Ron from Bill Ryan. Another two were to follow, "Shamrock" and "St. Patrick".
When not fishing Ron McLean never hesitated to help out, particularly where kids were concerned. The image attached of the "Delstar" loaded with Nippers from the Fingal Bay Surf Club on their way to a carnival at Hawks Nest.
